Mads Mikkelsen is the best. I didn’t think I could take another actor as Hannibal Lecter after seeing Anthony Hopkins play him...now I have trouble watching Anthony Hopkins play him because Mikkelsen’s Lecter is so damn good.

He plays the part perfectly, Anthony played Hannibal as if he was a complete madman, Mads did it properly, he is nonchalantly mad.

I mean I’m as big an Anthony Hopkins fan as there is, but your analysis is spot on. Hopkins’ Lecter isn't particularly true to the books, but it's a great standalone character. Mads IS Hannibal Lecter. And I'm going to need Netflix to pick up that show pretty quick.
